Celebrating Hispanic Entrepreneurship Conference
May 18-19, 2009

The University of Texas at El Paso Kauffman Campus Initiative is offering a conference on Hispanic Entrepreneurship. The conference will be held at The University of Texas at El Paso on May 18-19, 2009 and is funded in part by the Kauffman Foundation.
The overall objective of the conference is to present the accomplishments of UTEP students, staff and faculty, from the Kauffman Foundation Initiative Project. This will include: cutting edge research in Hispanic Entrepreneurship and related fields, best practices in Entrepreneurship education, technology transfer and innovative enterprises, social entrepreneurship and oral history and case studies of Latino Entrepreneurs.
Conference participants include: Dr. Santiago Ibarreche, Dr. Ann Gates, Dr. Alberto Correa, Dr. John Bretting, Homero Galicia (visiting professor), Dr. Robert Nachtmann, Dr. Roberto Osegueda, Tony Woo, Gary Williams, Dr. Maceo Dailey, Dr. Scott McDonald, Dr. Noe Vargas, Dr. Jose Rivera, Dr. Reynaldo Reyes, Dr. Kristine Navarro, Dr. Christine Brenner (Rutgers University), Dr. Zulema Valdez (Texas A&M University), Dr. Veronica Guerrero (California Lutheran University), Dr. Brenda Risch. The conference program will begin on Monday evening, May 18, at 5:00 p.m. with an opening reception and welcome. On May 19, the panel discussions will take place in the Tomas Rivera Conference Center, Union Building East, Room 308.
