UTEP Centennial Commission Committees

As the University of Texas at El Paso celebrated its 90th anniversary, it continued to be a model of excellence in higher education, enabling students to excel at the highest levels. While UTEP has a long and distinguished history, the possibilities for the future are even more exciting. UTEP’s Centennial Commission was charged with developing a vision for the University in 2014, UTEP’s 100th anniversary. The Centennial Commission drew its 100 members from a broad cross-section of the public, whose interest and support are essential elements in the future of the University.

The committees reviewed and evaluated the opportunities and challenges of UTEP’s future — and recommended long-range goals and strategies to achieve them. The final Centennial Commission report, containing those recommendations, was released in November 2005.
